Chapter Eight
Finn
I awoke to the sheer wonder of seeing my wife asleep with her legs parted and her tits bared to my gaze.
Iâd hated how sheâd been hidden from my sight recently. Iâd hated the distance between us in bed. Iâd hated not being able to feel her against me, to touch and taste every part of her.
My morning wood was alive and kicking, but I was strangely sated. I reached down to pet her pretty pussy and glowered at the warm plastic still inside her.
Iâd done that to punish both of us.
She hadnât been ready for this, and my impatience could cause a setback. Iâd known seeing the dildo in the morning light would piss me off and remind me to be careful with her. For her, Iâd done it to teach her the lesson that nothing felt as right as my cock inside her.
Tempted to let her sleep, I moved my fingers away, but the second I did, she mumbled, âDonât stop.â
I grinned and turned my face into my bicep as I snickered.
âWhy you laughinâ?â she grumbled, one eye popping open. âFelt good.â
âToo good,â I chided her sadly.
âSoon,â she whispered, staring at me sleepily.
âSoon,â I promised, giving her the word that was like our passcode, our vow to one another.
âWill you take it out now?â
I grinned at her again. âDidnât like it?â
âItâs not you.â
Well, if that wasnât good for a manâs ego, what was?
Sitting up, I moved closer to her so I could press a kiss to her mouth. She flinched when I licked my tongue over her bottom lip and I shot her a knowing smile when she pinkened adorably.
âI missed you,â she whispered when I stared deeply into her eyes.
Pressing my forehead against hers, I sighed. âIâm sorry Iâve been soâ¦â
âBullheaded?â
âThat.â My lips curved. âI came here as often as I could though, didnât I?â
âJust really late and you were like a bear with a sore paw.â
I whistled. âTwo animal comparisons in less than thirty seconds. Someoneâs feeling spunky.â
A laugh escaped her. âI am, actually.â
âNot too sore?â My tone sobered as I asked the question.
âNo. Bit achy, but nothing terrible.â She bit her lip. âThe doctor came yesterday, by the way. Said itâs healing so well because I was healthy before, you know? PTâs helping and, Iâm on the mend.â She pressed her hand to my jaw, which I knew had clenched at her statement. âDonât be angry.â
Stunned, I gaped at her. âAngry? Iâm not angry at you, Aoife. Sweet Jesus. As if I could be. Iâm mad at myself. Weâll never get these months back, baby. Iâm so sorry.â
Her mouth twitched. âLena says never to expect apologies from you guys.â
âLena should know when to keep her mouth shut,â I grumbled, rubbing her sore bottom lip with my thumb. âWhen will you be 100%?â
âAnother three or so months.â Her nose crinkled with distaste for that prognosis.
The idea of being without her for another three months was agony.
âNo more sex until she visits again. In nine daysâ time.
